Art Exhibition FAQ
How should I choose which of my artwork to send in?
Remember that the judges are looking at many pieces of art in a short time. They will be more likely to be captivated by pieces with something special to say and with a personal point of view. They are looking for artists with a clear style and identity in all the works that they submit rather than lots of different artistic styles.
Are there rules about what type of artwork I can send in?
Skill, ideas and honesty are key to impressing the judges, and as long as the materials you use follow the competition guidelines (click link) you are free to use these however you like.
Should there be a particular subjects for the artworks?
No. The subject you are most passionate about.
What sized artwork is accepted?
Artwork of all sizes are welcome.
If I am successful, can I send my work to the festival?
You are free to use any courier services, but the festival cannot accept any loss or damage to your work in transit.
What happens to my artwork after the exhibition is over?
Once the exhibition is over, all artworks will be digitised and permanently displayed on the festival’s website gallery, alone with nominations and awards if applicable.
By default we will return any winning artworks by courier, alone with certificate from the festival. Other works will be sold or donated, any proceedings from sales will be donated to charitable cause.
If you wish to have non-winning artwork returned, you can either pick it up from yourself or use a specialised artwork courier company. For insurance and liability reasons we do not collection from non-insured non-art couriers. We recommend you using Picture Post ([email protected] / 01302 711011 or 07833450788) or Art Moves of Chelsea ([email protected] / 020 7352 7492) to arrange collection of your artworks.
