How to apply
Performing participant is open to young people aged 10-17. Audition deadline is 15th of July.
Anyone who is interested in attending this festival must submit a video performance to audition for the festival before they are selected to participate. This video should demonstrate originality and talent, and of course showcase culture. The selection committee is particularly looking for cultural diversity, so applicants are encouraged to perform in their own language and to perform something that another applicant is not likely to also be performing.
Performance requirments:
- 5 – 10 minutes act.
- Accessible on-site audio equipment excluding headsets.
- Please submit your backing track as a clearly labeled audio file (.mp3) saved on a USB. You audio file must be named with the name of the song you wish to play. Before submitting this to the competition, you must check your audio file works.
- We provide a piano at the venue. Other instruments a participant wishes to play must be provided by the participants themselves.
Video Audition:
Please submit your application with video audition using the contact us form.
This video should be no longer than 10 mins and of good quality (sound and video), video should be recorded in the last 12 months.
After the selection committee has decided if your video audition was successful, you will be invited to attend the festival as a Performing Participating.

Do you need a visa to attend the Young Talent Festival?
This depends on your nationality. For the latest visa information please contact the British Embassy in your home country or check UK Visa. If you require a visa then you should apply to the YTF as early as possible to secure your entry and ensure you can apply for and receive your visa in time for the start of the programme. We will provide you with an invitation letter that can be used to support your visa application. The letter includes all the necessary information for a visa application as required by the UK Home Office and cannot be amended to suit individual requests. We can post visa letters out via regular mail or by courier at an additional charge.
